Ninewells Community Garden

Where?

The garden is located in the arboretum in the grounds of Ninewells Hospital and aims to promote physical activity and good health through community gardening; supporting wellbeing, therapy and rehabilitation. The garden includes wheelchair accessible paths, herbaceous borders, vegetable beds, picnic area, garden room and mud kitchen.

The Garden is accessible from the hospital grounds on various paths, although in the garden some paths have rough, bark surfaces.

Refreshments are available at the hospital next door. Refreshments provided for volunteer sessions.

Transport Links

There are excellent pedestrian routes from inside the hospital, from bus stops and from the local neighbourhoods. There is bicycle parking. Regular buses from the city centre to the hospital, bus nos 22 and 73. 10 min walk from the bus stops. By car, park at the Hospital carparks but they can be very busy. Charges may apply

Join us in Ninewells Community Garden and the surrounding woodland area for a fun, educational, family friendly Summer afternoon.

STRETCH & RELAX

Stretch and relax with our 'Get Out Get Active' team in the garden. Mats provided and it's a drop in session. Adapted for all abilities so don't worry if you are new to this! Indoor option if the weather is bad.

Help our dedicated team of garden volunteers to maintain and grow our wonderful garden. Our friendly garden facilitator June will lead the sessions and can provide support and tuition if you have no gardening experience.
